Dustin drags his friends to the top of a high hill to set up his transceiver in an attempt to contact Suzie in episode 3x01 “Chapter One: Suzie, Do You Copy?”. Steve drives Dustin and Erica to the transceiver so Dustin can coordinate the mission and then heads back to the mall with Robin when they hear things going wrong in episode 3x08 “Chapter Eight: The Battle of Starcourt”.
