Constructed atop an old Roman fort in 760, Castillo Almodóvar del Río was a castle constructed by the Emirate of Córdoba on a hillside above the town of Almodóvar del Río as the estate of Prince Al’delMalik Ben Qatan. A series of restorations in the 14th century by Alfonso XI and again at the beginning of the 20th century by Rafael Desmaissieres has led to its current good condition.
Ava reads the story of Areala and the founding of the Order of the Cruciform Sword in episode 1x03 “Ephesians 6:11”. The story of Areala and Adriel is told once again, but this time with more information on the death of Adriel in episode 1x08 “Proverbs 14:1”. Ava has a vision of the actual events that led to Areala gaining the halo and has a conversation with Adriel about his true nature in episode 1x10 “Revelation 2:10”.
