The Court of the Lions is a small palace situated within the Alhambra complex commissioned by Muhammed V between 1362 and 1391. The court is an exemplar of Nasrid architecture, with extensive Islamic ornamentation. It consists of a central rectangular courtyard with a fountain containing twelve lion sculptures, surrounded by four main halls connected to the central fountain by water channels.
