Mayor Kline calls in Hopper to clear up the anti-mall protestors under threat of firing in episode 3x02 “Chapter Two: The Mall Rats”. Hopper and Joyce head to confront the mayor about the man on the motorcycle and Hopper ends up kidnapping him in episode 3x04 “Chapter Four: The Sauna Test”. A news report shows Mayor Kline being arrested and escorted from Town Hall in disgrace in episode 3x08 “Chapter Eight: The Battle of Starcourt”.
